Hamilton Ellsworth Thompson

Hamilton Ellsworth Thompson, 83 of Salisbury, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Tidal Health in Salisbury. He was born in Cambridge, November 29, 1940, to the late Goldsborough Gillis Farrow, Sr. and the late Mildred Gertrude Thompson.

Ellsworth was raised in East New Market, MD. He graduated with the Class of 1958, from Maces Lane High School in Cambridge. After completing high school, Ellsworth entered the Navy Academy in Annapolis and served for 9 years. Again, he enlisted in the Air Force and served for 17 years. He was a retired Communications Field Engineer/Courier, Litton Saudi Arabia Ltd./Murdoch Florists. Ellsworth was a very personable and quiet person.

Ellsworth is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 37 years, Therese Thompson of Salisbury; 4 children: Monique Cogghe of Belgium, Hamilton Thompson, and Alonda Thompson both of Pennsylvania, Paul Callum Conliffe Arthur of England; 4 brothers: Eldridge Hooper and Tyrus Farrow, Sr. both of Cambridge, Rev William Ross (Phyllis) of Centreville, MD, and Robert Ross of Virginia; a goddaughter, Alexandra Wyllie; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ellsworth is preceded in death by his stepmother, Inez Farrow; 2 brothers: Paul Hooper and Goldsborough Farrow, Jr; a sister, Deborah Ross, an uncle, Luther Thomas, and an aunt, Majorie Thomas.
